Are you connected within your community? Do you work for your local government? Do you support damage prevention? Georgia 811 invites you to help spread the message of safe digging in Georgia.
Georgia 811 has created two programs for stakeholders to spread the 811 message. With the 811 Youth Community Service Safety Award, adults have the opportunity to help local youth organizations contact 811 before beginning excavation projects. Georgia 811 has also put out a packet for August 11th, informing stakeholders on how they could get their local government to proclaim August 11th as “811 Day”. The packet includes tips on securing a Proclamation, examples of City/County Proclamations and Sample Proclamation Text. To download the informative packet, click here.
