Rick Routh is the newest addition to the Georgia 811 Liaison staff. Rick will be the Liaison Manager serving Southeast Georgia in Georgia Utility Coordinating Council’s (GUCC) Region 5. (Click here to view a regional map.) He officially began his work with us on September 29th, 2014 and was introduced at the Georgia 811 Annual Meeting this past week.

Rick was previously employed with Tennessee 811, as the Director of Operations and HR, where he had worked for the past 19 years. Rick has been, and will remain, active in several national one-call organizations including One Calls of America (OCOA), Southeastern One Calls Systems (SOCS), and Common Ground Alliance (CGA). He is the past chair of OCOA’s Marketing Committee and has served on numerous other committees. Rick was instrumental in creating the Annual SOCS Supervisor Conference that continues to meet each February in Orlando. In September 2013, Rick helped to coordinate the first One-Call Center Trainer’s Conference and they have continued to meet annually. Rick has been a volunteer with the International Locate Rodeo since its inception, most recently serving the last several years as a Divisional Manager.

“We are looking forward to having Rick, and his knowledge and enthusiasm for damage prevention, join our Liaison team and our Georgia 811 family,” shares Holly Files Interim Liaison Director.
