Phone System Outage

3:00pm – Georgia 811 experienced phone, chat, and email communication problems between 5am and 3pm on October 20th due to an Amazon Web Services outage. We believe the underlying issues have been resolved and are being monitored. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this time. If you attempted to call during the outage, you may call back at this time. We also encourage you to submit your ticket online as it is fast and convenient. Thank you.

2:20pm – Some calls are being received as normal but we are aware of some persistent issues and encourage the use of our online ticket options at this time. We hope to be operating as normal soon. Continue to check this page for updates.

12:55pm – Amazon Web Services has narrowed down the source of the network connectivity issue and is working on mitigations and recovery. Georgia 811 is still experiencing a phone system outage. Continue to check this page for updates.

10:20am – Due to a nationwide outage with Amazon Web Services, we are currently experiencing issues with our phone service.

Homeowners may enter an eRequest online. Excavators may also go online to submit a single-address eRequest, or if they have a username and password, they are encouraged to submit an online ticket here. Excavators may also download the Mobile App to search tickets, pin tickets, and view ticket information and responses.
