Large Projects Online – Attachments Permitted
The Large Projects Online Locate Request Form on the Georgia 811 website now offers users the ability to add attachments. Initial upload limit is five files up to 25MB each and users will be provided the option to upload additional attachments after ticket creation. When viewing the ticket, the attachments will be available as a link in the ticket Remarks.
When submitting online Large Projects, users should still include Locate Instructions. Locate instructions should describe the area where work will take place with Sufficient Particularity using concise locate instructions and should not contradict any attachments.
Not sure what Sufficient Particularity is? Sufficient Particularity means providing a detailed description of the specific tract or parcel of land where the excavation will occur. The area of proposed excavation must be described so as to avoid confusion with facility owners and locators. This includes clearly and concisely defining boundaries of the area of excavation.
Please remember that attachment availability is only available when using the Large Projects Online Locate Request Form, and not available when calling Large Projects in through the contact center.
