A Large Project as defined by PSC Rule 515-9-4-.13 (Procedures For Large Projects) is any single mechanized excavation or blasting, involving excavation at a contiguous geographical site or area, that exceeds or will exceed one (1) linear mile or that reasonably requires or will require more than ninety (90) days to complete.
The Large Project online locate request form is a method to start the Large Project process. It will let you send GA811 the information necessary for us to process your request. We will review your entered information, transfer it to our Online Ticketing System, contact you to verify all information is correct, and provide you a list of utility members along with your Large Project Meeting Notice number.
Please be aware that simply completing the Questionnaire is not sufficient for you to begin your excavation. You must wait for us to get back to you with a Locate Request Number and the information you will need to know before you can start your excavation
Fill out all the required fields in the questionnaire form.
Your questionnaire will be sent to one of the Georgia 811 Large Project Customer Service Representatives for processing.
The Large Project CSR will contact you by phone to verify the information you provided and issue your Large Project Meeting Notification. You will be contacted no later than 12 business hours (Mon – Fri) of receipt.
Once the Large Project CSR has processed your request and all information has been confirmed including the date, time, and location of your meeting, you will receive a copy of your request by email.
